Theater Weekend - November 2025

Theater Weekend will offer prospective performers, directors, playwrights, designers, technicians and stage managers a chance to compete for full- and partial-tuition scholarships by auditioning, presenting a design/management portfolio or submitting a play they have written. The program is in person in the fall semester and cannot be attended virtually. 

The November Theater Weekend will kick off Friday, November 14 with a meet and greet with CWRU faculty and students, followed by a workshop with theater faculty, as well as a tour of our new state-of-the-art theater, The Milton and Tamar Maltz Performing Arts Center. On Saturday, November 15, students will audition and interview for the scholarships in the morning, participate in a Q&A with CWRU theater students on Saturday afternoon and attend the evening performance of the CWRU Department of Theater production of The Importance of Being Earnest, as well as a performance by IMPROVment, CWRU’s student improv troupe.
